O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent herein to pay the professional fees as per the claim 1/4

bills sent to the respondent with interest at the rate of 18% p.a. to the petitioner.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent handed over a cheque bearing No.342495 drawn on Indian Bank CMDA(Chennai) Branch, dated 14.03.2024, for a sum of Rs.8,66,494/- to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondent would state that the entire amount has been settled and therefore, nothing survives for adjudication in the writ petition.

4. As the matter has been settled between the parties, no further order needs to be passed in this writ petition. Therefore, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
