ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent police to give police protection and also permission to conduct cultural programme at UnityNagar Village Arulmegu Sri Maga Kaliamman Kovil Thiruvizha on 04.01.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that already the petitioner had approached the second respondent police on 18.12.2017 seeking permission to conduct cultural programme in the temple at UnityNagar Village Arulmegu Sri Maga Kaliamman Kovil Thiruvizha on 04.01.2018 and the representation is still pending.

4. In the above circumstances, the second respondent police is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2017 and pass suitable orders on merits, on or before 28.12.2017.
