The petitioners have sought for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation given by them and also the legal notice issued on 04.02.2020 calling upon the authorities to lay a blacktop road in the above said S.Nos.51/8, 12, Veerakal Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District. The writ petition was filed on 14.10.2020.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader has produced a communication from the third respondent addressed to the petitioners in Proceedings in Na.Ka.No.196/2019 dated 12.11.2020, wherein, it has been stated that the layout on which the petitioners are seeking laying of a blacktop road, is an unapproved one and therefore, without proper D.T.C.P. Approval, the third respondent is not in a position to oblige or carry out the request made by the petitioners.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would state that they have already applied for regularisation of the above said layout.

4. In the event, the layout is approved, it is open to the petitioners to approach the respondents herein for appropriate remedy for laying the roads.

5. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
