The petitioner seeks direction upon respondents to register the case based on his complaint, dated 24.02.2015. 2.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. 3.

It is submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, for respondent/Police that on the complaint given by the petitioner through post, petition enquiry is pending, as the respondent/Police have to collect certain documents from the Axis Bank. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that the petitioner may be directed to appear before the Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Crime Branch, Salem and cooperate with the investigation. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

In view of the above submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, by directing the Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Crime Branch, Salem, to complete investigation of the case as expeditiously as possible and register a crime, if cognizable offence is made out by following the dictum laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in re Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others reported in [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)]. The petitioner is also directed to appear before the Deputy Superintendent of Police, and furnish all specimen signature, thumb impression, and all other measurements and co-operate with the respondent/Police for investigation.
