ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- "Directing the respondent to pay difference in leave surrender salary and difference in gratuity as per 14th wage settlement dated 24/08/2022 with 10 percent interest to petitioners."

The case of the petitioners is that the 1st petitioner and the husband of the 2nd petitioner were appointed as Drivers in the respondent Transport Corporation on 09.08.1997 and 20.12.1991, respectively, and retired from service on 30.11.2021 and 31.12.2019, respectively. The 1st petitioner and the husband of the 2nd petitioner retired from service prior to the 14th Wage Settlement entered into under Section 12(3) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, on 24.08.2022, which was given retrospective effect from 01.09.2019. As per the said settlement, the 1st petitioner and the husband of the 2nd petitioner are entitled to the difference in leave surrender salary and difference in gratuity. However, the said benefits have not been extended to the petitioners. In this regard, the petitioners had submitted a representation to the respondent dated 25.03.2026. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent would fairly submit
that they are willing to pay the applicable differential amount of leave surrender salary and gratuity in accordance with the 14th Wage Settlement dated 24.08.2022 together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of respondent.

In view of the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of respondent, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to pay the applicable differential amount of leave surrender salary and gratuity to the petitioners, in accordance with the 14th Wage Settlement dated 24.08.2022, together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
