On the last occasion, i.e on 24.06.2024, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Today, once again, there is no representation for the petitioner either in person or through counsel.

2. Mr.V.Jeevagiridharan, learned Additional Government 2/5

Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the writ petition has been filed questioning the order of dismissal of the petitioner. He would submit that the show cause notice which was earlier issued has not been responded to by the petitioner and others. Consequently, they had been removed from service. Further, the petitioner has also not filed any appeal as provided under Section 14 of the Tamil Nadu Home Guards Act challenging their removal from service. Since the show cause notice has ultimately resulted in their removal from service, nothing survives for consideration in the above writ petition.

3. Recording the above statement, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
