This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of writ directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2015 and direct the respondent to provide petitioner police protection at petitioner's cost. O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2015 and direct the respondent to provide petitioner police protection at petitioner's cost.

2. The petitioner is the owner of the land pertaining to survey Nos.4/5, 4/8, 11/1, 12/1, 13/1 situated at S.Pallipattu Village, Thirupattur, to an extent of 4 Ares. The petitioner purchased the said lands from one K.S.Ramanujam and his brothers on 31.03.2015 and 07.04.2015 by a registered Sale Deed vide Documents No.3302/15 and 3120/15. Immediately after the purchase of the property, the petitioner applied for the mutation of revenue records and patta was transferred in the name of the petitioner vide Patta No.372 nd 374 by the revenue

authorities. After the mutation of the records, at the request of the petitioner on 25.09.2015, the Tahsildar and other revenue officials measured the land and boundaries were marked by them.

Thereafter, when the petitioner was fencing his property, one Mr.Mohan, who is the adjacent land owner of the petitioner's land came with 15 henchmen with weapons and threatened the petitioner with dire consequences, if the petitioner proceed with fencing of his property. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint against the said Mohan and his henchmen and requested the respondent police to take action against the said Mohan and his henchmen and also requested to give police protection at the cost of the petitioner to enable the petitioner to fence his property and the same was not considered by the respondent police. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

5. In view of the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondent, this court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.09.2015, in accordance with law, by providing personal hearing to the petitioner as well as to other necessary parties and pass appropriate orders within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
