O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction directing the 4th respondent to give water and sewerage connection to the petitioner premises at New Door No.3, Draupathi Amman Koil 2nd Street, Velacherry, Chennai-600 042.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner has made application before the 4th respondent for granting water and sewerage connection and he has also paid the necessary fees for the same. Thereafter, the 4th respondent has also inspected the premises and so far, no order has been passed. Subsequently, the petitioner has made representation to the respondents on 30.07.2018, but, till date, the petitioner's application was not considered by the 4th respondent. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3. I have considered the rival submissions and perused the records carefully.

4. On considering the fact that the representation of the petitioner is pending with the respondents, without going to the merits of the case, the 4th respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application for the grant of water and sewerage connection to the petitioner premises bearing New Door No.3, Draupathi Amman Koil 2nd Street, Velacherry, Chennai-600 042 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.

No costs. Consequently, connected Writ Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
