This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register an F.I.R., on the complaint No.589 dated 25.04.2016 and investigate the matter.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner had lodged a complaint to the Superintendent of Police, Kancheepuram District and not to the Station House Officer.

4. Taking into consideration the nature of the allegations found in the complaint of the petitioner dated 25.04.2016, this Court directs the petitioner to appear in person before the second respondent and lodge a fresh complaint. On receipt of such complaint, the same shall be enquired into and action be taken thereon in accordance with law, if it discloses the commission of a cognizable offence or drop action otherwise.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
