This writ petition is filed for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2015 and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to release the release deed dated 17.12.2013 registered as Doc. No. 8632/2013 on the file of SRO, Neelankarai to the petitioner.

The facts of the case are:

The petitioner is said to be the absolute owner of the land measuring an extent of 47.5 cents comprised in S.No. 76/1 situated at Singaravelan 15th Cross Street at No. 145, Neelankarai Village, Sholinganallur within the Sub Registration District of Neelankarai. By virtue of release deed dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

17.12.2013 registered as Document No. 8632/2013 on the file of SRO, Neelankarai, the petitioner acquired absolute title over the said property. Though the said document was duly presented and registered by the 2nd respondent way back in the year 2013, the same has not been released, till date. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 18.08.2015 to the 1st respondent with a copy marked to the 2nd respondent seeking release of the said document. However, no action has been taken. Hence, the present writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

Since the representation of the petitioner dated 18.08.2015 seeking release of the Document No. 8632/2013 is pending before the 2nd respondent, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the said representation and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
