Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 24.03.2026 pursuant to online Application No.2026/0105/18/12449 towards sub-division and Application No.2026/0103/18/011172 dated 24.03.2026 towards patta transfer forthwith thereto.

Order With consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for following prayer:- For issuance of a mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 24.03.2026 pursuant to online Applications made towards sub-division and patta transfer respectively forthwith.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner after purchase of a property in his name made an application along with necessary documents and also paid required fee for sub-division of the property and to transfer patta in his name, however, as on date, the respondents have not considered the said request made by the petitioner. Therefore, it is contended that unless, the subject is subdivided and patta is transferred in the name of the petitioner, the petitioner would be put to irrepairable loss and hence, prays for appropriate direction.

4. The learned Government Counsel who takes notice on behalf of the respondents would submit that the request made by the petitioner would 2/4

be considered and appropriate steps would be taken by the respondentAuthority for sub-division of the property and transfer of the patta in the name of the petitioner and therefore, seeks a reasonable time for completion of the said exercise.

Considering the submissions made on either side and also the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to dispose of the present Writ Petition with a direction to the first respondent, Revenue Divisional Officer to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.03.2026 and take suitable steps for sub-division of the petitioner's property and to transfer patta in favor of the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
