Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 01.09.2025 pursuant to online Application No.2024/0105/18/414312 dated 20.09.2024 towards grant of name transfer in patta and Application No.2025/0123/18/009382 dated 05.02.2025 towards measurement and sub-division forthwith. 1/4
For Petitioner : Mr.L.Chandrakumar For Respondents : Mr.B.Pachaiyappan Government Counsel Order With consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for following prayer:- For issuance of a mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 01.09.2025 pursuant to online Applications made towards measurement and sub-division of the property and to grant name transfer patta forthwith.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner after purchasing a property in his name made an application along with necessary documents and also paid required fee for sub-division of the property and to transfer patta in his name, however, as on date, the respondents have not considered the said request made by the petitioner, and hence, the present Writ Petition.

The learned Government Counsel who takes notice on behalf of the respondents would submit that the request made by the petitioner would be considered and appropriate steps would be taken by the respondentAuthority for sub-division of the property and transfer of the patta in the name of the petitioner and therefore, seeks a reasonable time for completion of the said exercise.

Considering the submissions made on either side and also the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to dispose of the present Writ Petition with a direction to the first respondent, Revenue Divisional Officer to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2025 and take suitable steps for measurement and sub-division of the petitioner's property and to transfer patta in favour of the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
