Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner to enable the employees and customers to enter and exit the office premises, ensure that striking workmen and outsiders are 500 meters away from the petitioner's office premises and to maintain law and order and peace in and around the petitioner's office premises situated at Ganapathy, Coimbatore-600 006.

O R D E R

The prayer sought for in the present petition is to the 1st respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner to enable the employees and customers to enter and exit the office premises, ensure that striking workmen and outsiders are 500 meters away from the petitioner's office premises and to maintain law and order and peace in and around the petitioner's office premises.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted due to lapse of period, the prayer sought for has become infructuous.

3. In view of the above, the writ petition stands dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. However the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.
