[Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.,] (1)The present writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2024 in accordance with law for issuing ST certificate to the petitioner as Sigari Vettaikkaran Community . (2)Mr.G.Nanmaran, learned Special Government Pleader accepts noticeon behalf of the respondent.

(3)The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2024 in accordance with law. (4)Considering the limited scope of prayer that is now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner before this Court, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's contentions either in the affidavit in support of the writ petition or in the representation, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 05.02.2024 on merits and in accordance with law within

a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. (5)The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
