This is an application for condonation of delay of 483 days in filing the appeal.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondent.

In the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the cause for reason is stated as bifurcation of Villupuram District into Villupuram and Kallakurichi Districts.

Though the reason is not sound and convincing, considering the grounds raised in the memorandum of appeal, we are inclined to condone the petition; however with a cost of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only), payable to the respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

If the amount is not paid within the time granted, this petition would stand dismissed automatically.
