The petitioner is stated to be purchaser of a property situated in Survey No.362/2, Thammampatgti village, Gangavalli Taluk, Salem District measuring around 2.06 Acres through Court auction. In pursuant to the sale effected in favour of the petitioner, a request has been made to the respondents seeking mutation in the revenue records by issuance of patta incorporating the name of the petitioner. By proceedings in O.Mu.5001/2013/A1, dated 5.9.2013, the 2nd respondent has directed the 3rd respondent to pass appropriate orders, being the competent authority. Despite the same, as no further follow up action has been taken, the petitioner has come forward to file this writ petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Considering the facts of the case and the communication of the 3nd respondent dated 5.9.2013, the 3rd respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the communication of the 2nd respondent in O.Mu.5001/2013/A1 dated 5.9.2013 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
