No.A1/ 203/ 2023 dated 20.03.2023 received by the petitioner on 18.07.2023 within a time limit stipulated by this Court.

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition is filed to direct the first Respondent to consider and pass orders on the Appeal Petition dated 11.08.2023 filed by the petitioner against the order passed by the second Respondent in Na.Ka. No.A1/ 203/ 2023 dated 20.03.2023 within a time limit stipulated by this Court.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the subject property and revenue authorities had also recognized the ownership of the petitioner and assessed property tax, sewerage tax, electricity bill in the name of the petitioner. While so, when he verified Permanent Land Register on online, the same reflected the name of one Vijayakumar. As against the same, the petitioner gave an application to the second respondent to take steps to rectify the mistake crept in the revenue records. As per the direction of this Court in W.P.No.32548 of 2022, dated 13.12.2022, the second 2/5

respondent considered and rejected the application of the petitioner. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent. But the same is pending without any progress. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

5. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 11.08.2023 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of the two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
