O R D E R

The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 07.08.2013 on the issuance of cancellation of 31 multiple assessment orders and issue in a single assessment order to the petitioner's building situated at No.37, Third Extension Street, Chikkatha Samipalayam, Mettupalayam.

2.It is brought to the notice of this Court by Ms.A.Madhumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent that for the very same prayer, the petitioners have subsequently given a representation dated 01.10.2019 to the respondent and that the respondent, by order dated 23.03.2020, agreed to pass a single assessment order in respect of the petitioners' building. Subsequently, on 24.06.2020, the respondent issued a notice calling upon the petitioners to submit an application within a period of three days for issuing a single assessment order.

3.Since the respondent had considered the petitioners' representation dated 01.10.2019, which is identical to the representation dated 07.08.2013 given by the petitioners and the same has been considered by the respondent, no further direction need be issued to the respondent.

4.In such view of the matter, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
