Writ Petition(Crl.) filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents No.4 to 6, to provide adequate and effective Police Protection to the petitioner to re-erect the fence and safeguard the boundaries of the petitioner's patta lands in Suvery Nos.95/1, 95/2, situated at Mummudi Village, Thalaivasal Taluk, Salem District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 31.03.2026 within a time frame fixed by this Court. ORDER
This writ petition has been filed praying to issue a direction to respondents 4 to 6 to provide adequate and effective Police Protection to the petitioner to re-erect fence and safeguard the boundaries of the petitioner's patta lands in Suvery Nos.95/1, 95/2, situated at Mummudi Village, Thalaivasal Taluk, Salem District by considering the petitioner's
representation dated 31.03.2026 within a time frame fixed by this Court. 2.
It is seen that the petitioner sought for police protection from the sixth respondent to fence his patta lands in Suvery Nos.95/1, 95/2, situated at Mummudi Village, Thalaivasal Taluk, Salem District since while fencing the patta lands, respondents 7 to 11 are obstructing without any right or title over the property. The petitioner further alleged that respondents 7 to 11 are illegally quarrying from Vasishta river. 3.
In view of the above, the sixth respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and counter parties i.e. respondents 7 to 11 and giving them opportunity of personal hearing, and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 4.
With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
