O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 30.04.2023, and give the death benefits of the petitioner's son Chandra Sekaran.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that her son, namely Chandra Sekaran, worked as Wireman in the respondent Corporation for more than 17 years and died on 05.02.2008 due to illness. The husband of the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondent on 25.06.2008 and tried his level best to get the terminal benefits of their son, however, he died on 18.06.2021 due to his old age. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation before the respondent on 30.04.2023 for grant of death benefits of her son, but nothing fruitful is forthcoming. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent for more than 14 years from the date of death of her son despite representations, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3.Considering the limited nature of the prayer sought for in the present writ petition, without going into the merits of the representation submitted by the petitioner or the contentions raised by the writ petitioner in this writ petition, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 30.04.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
