PRAYER:

This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to survey the land, put the boundary stone and to issue patta in the name of the petitioner situated in New S.No. 151/5 in Chinna Mettur, Kolathur Post, Salem District to the extent of 1554 Square Feet as per the applications of the petitioner dated 24.05.2013.

ORDER

Placing reliance on a sale deed dated 28.08.1991, the petitioner made a representation dated 24.05.2013 to the respondents seeking issuance of Patta with respect to land comprised in S.No. 151/5 in Chinna Mettur, Kolathur Post, Salem District to the extent of 1554 Square Feet. As the said representation dated 24.05.2013 is not considered till now, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner before this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. Considering the facts of the case and without going into the merits of the same, a direction is hereby issued to the respondent No. 1 to consider and pass https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 24.05.2013, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as third parties, if any. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
