PRAYER : This Writ Petition had been filed under article 226 of the constitution, to issue Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to initiate confiscation proceedings under Section 14(4) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 in respect of the petitioner's Lorry make Ashok Leyland 1616 IL bearing Registration No.TN 28 AE 8345 seized in Crime No.421 of 2021 on the file of the 3rd respondent herein for the alleged offence under section 4(1) (a) of TN Prohibition Act, 1937 within a stipulated period.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed by the owner of the lorry, Ashok Leyland bearing Registration No.TN 28 AE 8345 to initiate confiscation proceedings under Section 14(4) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 since the vehicle is involved inn Crime No. 421 of 2021.

2. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) submitted that confiscation proceedings has been initiated by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Prohibition Enforcement Wing, Krishnagiri District at the instance of Inspector of Police, Prohibition Enforcement Wing, Hosur, and the same has been produced before this Court.

3. Considering the fact that already confiscation proceedings has been initiated, nothing survives for adjudication in this case and hence, this Writ Petition is closed.
