The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 09.04.2024 in Crime No.289 of 2024, for the offences punishable under Sections 174 of Cr.P.C., altered into Sections 302, 201 and 202 of IPC read with Section 120(b) of IPC on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would submit that he is in jail from 09.04.2024. Hence, he prayed to grant bail to the petitioner.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that, there are totally three accused in this case. Petitioner is arrayed as A3. He further submitted that, based on the confession of the arrested accused, petitioner was arrested and he is a close friend of A1. The specific overt act against the petitioner is that petitioner along with other accused in a drunken mood committed murder of the deceased and the photo showing decomposed body of the deceased were also sent to this petitioner. He further submitted that the petitioner is the main accused and the investigation is not yet completed. If he released on bail, there is a possibility of abscondance. T.V.THAMILSELVI, J.

4. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner and that the investigation is not yet completed, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
