ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondents for wilful disobedience of the Order of this Court dated 22.10.2019 in WP.No.12693 of 2006.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the Order of this Court directing the respondents to pay a sum of Rs.3 lakhs along with 9% interest from the date of filing the above writ petition till the payment of compensation. Further, he also placed the hand receipt of payment of Rs.7,41,660/- made in favour of the petitioner along with Government Order sanctioning the above amount in G.O.(2D).No.72, Water Resources (I.Spl.2) Department dated 11.11.2022. The said Government Order and the hand receipt shall form part of the record.

3. Such view of the matter, this Court is of the view that there is no violation of the Order of this Court on the part of the official respondents. Accordingly, this contempt petition is closed.
