ORDER

The Petitioner has filed Crl.OP.24399 of 2021, seeking direction to the Inspector of Police, Mayiladuthurai Police Station to compete the investigation in Cr.No.196 of 2019 and to file final report within a stipulated period. This Court by order dated 15.12.2021, considered his submission and gave positive order directing the respondent to file final report, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of that order. Thereafter, no action has been taken. Hence, the Petitioner has sent a pre-contempt notice to the Inspector of Police on 29.04.2022, reminding him about the direction given by this Court and no action has been taken, against which the present Petition.

2.Today Mr.K.Prem Kumar, Sub-Inspector of Police, Manalmedu, in person appeared before this Court and submitted that on the direction of this Court, investigation has been completed on 11.09.2022 and charge sheet has been produced before the learned Judicial Magistrate I, Mayiladuthurai on 12.09.2022. During the investigation 11 person have 2/4

been enquired and statements were recorded. Giving list of LW1 to LW11 with materials and documents, final report has been filed. The learned Judicial Magistrate I, Mayiladuthurai is yet to take the charge sheet on file and assign number.

3.Considering the fact that now investigation has been completed and charge sheet has been filed on 12.09.2022. It is for the learned Judicial Magistrate I, Mayiladurai to take the charge sheet on file, assign CC Number and to dispose of the case in accordance with law. Therefore, the learned Judicial Magistrate I, Mayiladurai is directed to take the charge sheet filed in CC.No.196 of 2019 and dispose of the same, without delay. 5.With the above direction, this Contempt Petition is closed. 21.09.2022 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No Speaking Order/Non-Speaking Order sai 3/4
