The order passed by the Rent Controller/District Munsif, Ambattur in M.P.No.12 of 2016 in R.C.O.P.No.15 of 1999 has been challenged by the tenant under Article 227 of the Constitution of India by way of a revision. 2.Under Section 23 of the Tamil Nadu Buildings (Lease and Rent Control) Act, any person aggrieved by an order passed by the Controller,

va may, within 15 days from the date of such order prefer an appeal in writing to the Appellate Authority having jurisdiction. 3.Admittedly, the impugned order has been passed by the Rent Controller. In such circumstances, the Civil Revision Petition filed by the tenant challenging the said order is not maintainable. In view of the same, the Civil Revision Petition is rejected. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
