Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.07.2012 and consequentially take suitable action against the second respondent.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.07.2012 and consequentially take suitable action against the second respondent.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner made a representation to the first respondent making certain allegations against the first respondent on 23.07.2012. Since no order has been passed on the said representation till date, the Petitioner has filed the present writ petition before this Court seeking the aforesaid relief.

3. No counter affidavit has been filed by the first respondent till date.

During the course of arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner made a request to this Court that the petitioner may be permitted to make furnish another copy of the representation dated 23.07.2012 to the Sub Inspector of Police, Kancheepuram, and on receipt of the representation, the said authority may be directed to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court.

Considering the aforesaid request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, it is open to the petitioner to approach the Sub Inspector of Police, Kancheepuram along with the copy of the representation dated 23.07.2012, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the Sub Inspector of Police, Kancheepuram is directed to consider and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as to the parties concerned, as expeditiously as possible. However, it is made clear that if no such representation is received by the Sub Inspector Police, Kancheepuram, within the said period, the said authority shall not proceed on the same.

6. The Writ Petition is disposed of, on the above terms. No order as to costs.
