The petitioner seeks direction upon the respondent/Police to register her complaint, dated 27.01.2015 and to take further action for effecting recovery of sridhana articles from the accused and to file a final report before the competent court within the stipulated time.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent/Police.

It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter was married to Balaji, and that, she died due to dowry harassment. In respect of the said incident, the Police conducted investigation and filed final report and the same was taken cognizance by the learned Mahila Court, Thiruvallur, and assigned S.C.No.95 of 2013. After trial, the accused was convicted and sentenced to undergo imprisonment for 10 years. Now, by way of present complaint, the petitioner wants the respondent/Police to take action for recovery https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of articles, which were given at the time of marriage between the petitioner's daughter and the accused. No such positive direction, can be issued, that too, in a case, which has culminated after the final report has been filed.

4. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed, granting liberty to the petitioner to workout her remedy in the manner known to law.
