Respondents Writ Petition (Public Interest Litigation) filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second and third respondents to publish copies of all orders passed by the Government and the HR & CE Department, copies of all advertisements placed in leading newspapers by the HR & CE Department, and publish all proposals received by Trustees of Temples under the supervisory

control of the HR & CE Department, within a reasonable time frame as set by this Court in the web-site of the HR & CE Department.

ORDER

(The Order of the Court was made by The Honourable Chief Justice) This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the second and third respondents to publish copies of all orders passed by the Government and the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR & CE) Department, copies of all advertisements placed in leading newspapers by the HR & CE Department and publish all proposals received by Trustees of Temples under the supervisory control of the HR & CE Department, within a reasonable time frame as set by this Court in the web-site of the H.R. & C.E. Department.

2. The sweeping direction of the nature sought for by the petitioner, cannot be granted, as otherwise, a special Legislation has been enacted to obtain information, i.e. under the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

3. In view of the above, if the petitioner wants copies of the documents mentioned in the prayer to the Writ Petition or any other information related thereto, then he has to apply for the same under the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005 and in that case, it shall be dealt with by the competent Officer as per the provisions of law.
