By consent this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner would state that he belongs to Backward community and he had obtained driving licence for driving heavy vehicles. The second respondent engaged the services of the petitioner on casual basis since 2009. The sanctioned strength of the driver in the second respondent town panchayat was two and the Panchayat has passed resolution to include one post and the said proposal was sent to the first respondent for sanctioning additional strength of the driver and the same has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

not been considered till date. The petitioner also made a representation on 08.09.2014 to the first respondent, seeking for creation of post of driver so as to accommodate the petitioner on regular basis. Since, no action was taken by the respondents till date, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.V.Vijayshankar learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent as well as Mr.V.Subbiah learned counsel for the second respondent.

6.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 08.09.2014 on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
