Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal filed on 09.02.2024 at an early date in accordance with the principles laid down by this Court. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself.

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 09.02.2024. 3.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent and perused the materials available on record.

The case of the petitioner is that the subject property was acquired by the petitioner by way of a Settlement Deed dated 14.11.2017 and he is cultivating the lands. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the second respondent, who is the brother of the petitioner had obtained patta in his name. In this regard, the petitioner has given representation to the Tahsildar, Andimadam and he ordered to restore patta in favour of the petitioner's father. Therefore, the petitioner has given representation to the first respondent to implement the order passed by the Tahsildar. However, 2/4
the same has not been considered by the first respondent. Hence, he seeks a direction.

Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent submitted that the appeal will be considered by the first respondent in a reasonable time.

In such view of the matter, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 09.02.2024 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
