Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, calling for the records in respect of the Na.Ka.No.21257/S.P.2/2/2024 on 20.09.2024 impugned order issued by the second respondent, quash the same and direct the third respondent to transfer from Government Tiruvarur Medical College Hospital, Tiruvarur to Government Head Quarters Hospital, Tenkasi, through administrative reason or transfer counselling.

The instant writ petition has been filed challenging the order dated 20.09.2024, by and in which the petitioner was directed to participate in the general counselling.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that she needs transfer on account of pressing personal reasons. She would further submit that she has given various representations to the respondents. However, vide impugned order, she was directed to participate in the general counselling 2/6
without giving her any transfer. Hence, she prayed to interfere with the above impugned order.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions from the second respondent, states that the general counselling has been conducted on 22.05.2025 and 23.05.2025 after giving notice to all individuals, whereas the petitioner did not participate in the general counselling. It is the further submission of the learned Government Advocate that two vacancies, which were shown in transfer counselling, were opted by the seniors to the petitioner and the posting order was issued accordingly. In such view of the matter, he prayed to dismiss the present writ petition.
4. I have given my anxious consideration to the submissions made on either side.
5. While perusing the impugned order dated 20.09.2024, it amply directs the petitioner to participate in the general counselling, but subsequent to the said order, there was a general counselling conducted on 22.05.2025 3/6
and 23.05.2025, where the petitioner miserably failed to participate in the same. Therefore, this Court does not find any merits in the writ petition.
6. In the result, this writ petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to submit a representation to the second respondent within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the second respondent is directed to consider the same on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
