This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 10.02.2016.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner has lodged a complaint against her husband and in-laws to the respondent police. During enquiry, it was found that the transactions had taken place within the Salem District and therefore, the Police is taking steps to transfer the complaint of the petitioner to Salem.

4. In view of the above submission, the petitioner is directed to appear in person before the jurisdictional Police Station at Salem and lodge a fresh complaint. On receipt of such complaint, the same shall be enquired into and action be taken thereon in accordance with law, if it discloses the commission of a cognizable offence or drop action otherwise. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
