Crl.M.P.No.8180 of 2017 in Crl.R.C.No.549 of 2017 V.BHARATHIDASAN, J, This Court by an order dated 21.04.2017 in Crl.M.P.No.4882 of 2017 in Crl.R.C.No.549 of 2017 directed the petitioner to appear before the Principal District and Sessions Court, Coimbatore, on 27.04.2017 and file a petition to compound the offence, on filing such petition, the lower appellate court is directed to consider the application and pass orders on merits.

2. Today, the petitioner has filed an application for seeking extension of time on the ground that he has received a copy of the order only on 28.04.2017. Hence, he could not file the petition before 27.04.2017 as directed by this Court and seeks two more weeks time for filing counter.

3. Therefore, time granted by the Court is extended for two more weeks from today and the petitioner is directed to file the petition on or before 17.07.2017.
