Respondents in all W.Ps Common Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the entire records pertaining to Notification No.2248/CA/2013 dated 21.11.2013 titled CERTIFICATE regarding selection for promotion to the Post of Assistant Jailor issued by the Chairman, Promotion Board and Deputy Inspector

General of Police (Prisons), the 2nd respondent herein and quash the same as arbitrary and unreasonable, being violative of rules and principles of natural justice and consequently direct the 2nd respondent herein to declare Notification No.2248/CA/2013 dated 21.11.2013 as invalid and to prepare a fresh list of promotees in which the petitioner is included in position as per his seniority.

2. In the light of the above, these writ petitions are closed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
