ORDER

The husband, in HMOP No.672 of 2013 on the file of the II Additional Family Court, at Chennai, is the revision petitioner, seeking a direction for the early disposal of the same.

2. It is stated that though the petition in IDOP No.10 of 2011 was originally filed by the husband/revision petitioner in Salem, subsequently, for the sake of convenience of the wife viz., the respondent, it was transferred to the II Additional Family Court, Chennai and re-numbered as O.P.No.672 of 2013. The petitioner further stated that he has been travelling from Salem to Chennai each time for the hearing, but however, the respondent who lives in Chennai is not attending the Court regularly and absent herself on alternate hearing dates. He also submitted that the mediation conducted between the parties had also failed, but the matter has been dragging on from the year 2012.

3. From the perusal of the diary entries furnished in the typed set of papers, it is seen that PW1's cross examination was posted from January 2013 and till today, it has not yet been completed and that the respondent/wife has been absenting herself throughout. It is also seen that the next date of hearing is on 16.12.2016. Hence, the learned Additional

Family Court Judge, is directed to dispose of the IDOP No.10 of 2011, which was renumbered as O.P.No.672 of 2013, as expeditiously as possible , i.e., on or before 31.01.2017.

4. With the above direction, this civil revision petition is disposed of. No costs.
