Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying this Court to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the order passed by the second respondent herein in his Rc.No.066986/Con.II(2)/2013 dated 05.10.2013 imposing a punishment of postponement of increment for one year without cumulative effect and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to grant all consequential service and monetary benefits withheld due to the above punishment to the petitioner.

Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying this Court to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to include the petitioner's name in the temporary list of Deputy Superintendents of police (Cat-I) fit for promotion as Additional Superintendent of Police (Cat-I) for the year 2013-14 approved in G.O.(3D)No.10, Home (Police-1A) Department dated 21.2.2014 in the appropriate place with due seniority and consequently direct the first respondent herein to promote the petitioner as Additional Superintendent of Police (Cat-I) with effect from 25.02.2014, the date of promotion of immediate junior with all consequential service and monetary benefits.

COMMON ORDER The relief sought for in these petitions are inter related with each other, hence this Court decided to be disposed of simultaneously.
2.The writ petitioner has filed the above W.P.No.9503 of 2014, to quash the punishment order imposed on him and in W.P.No.9504 of 2014, to promote him as Additional Superintendent of Police (Cat-I) with effect from 25.02.2014, the date of promotion of immediate junior with all consequential service and monetary benefits.
3.Today, when the matters are taken up for hearing, Mr.Ravi Shanmugam, learned counsel appearing for petitioner on instructions, seeks permission of this Court to withdraw these present writ petitions. In this regard, on behalf of petitioner, memo was filed seeking withdrawal of these petitions. 4.The Memo filed by the petitioner is taken on record. Recording said submission made by the learned counsel appearing for petitioner, this Court permits the petitioner to withdraw these writ petitions. Accordingly, these writ petitions are dismissed as withdrawn. However there shall be no order as to costs.
