Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.08.2021, to transfer petitioner's brother Mr. Irusappan, Son of Varatharajan, Life Convict, aged about 47 years, from Central Prison, Salem, to Central Prison-1, Puzhal, Chennai.

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the first respondent herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.08.2021 for transferring her brother https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Irusappan, Son of Varatharajan, convict prisoner (Ct. No.8934), from Central Prison, Salem, to Central Prison, Puzhal.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 03.08.2021 was considered by the Superintendent of Central Prison, Salem, who, after obtaining report from the Probation Officer, has refused to recommend the transfer of the prisoner from Central Prison Salem to Central Prison, Puzhal, by order dated 16.11.2021. A copy of the order dated 16.11.2021, has been served on the petitioner. However, we also furnished a copy of the order dated 16.11.2021 to the learned counsel for the petitioner across the bar.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out her remedies in the manner known to law. No costs.
