The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, directing the 5th respondent to promote the petitioner to the post of Revenue Inspector to the Vacant post of Revenue Inspector in the Villianur Commune Panchayat on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 18.11.2024, 14.02.2025 with all consequential monetary and other benefits.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that overlooking the petitioners' seniority, the respondents are attempting to promote their juniors. According to the petitioners, they have given various representations lastly on 14.02.2025 seeking promotion on the basis of their seniority and the same is yet to be pending with the respondents.
3. However, the contention of the petitioner was stoutly objected by the Government Advocate (Pondicherry) appearing for the respondents. However, the learned Government Advocate (Pondicheery) would fairly submit that if any representation is pending with them, they would consider it within a reasonable time.
4. In such view of the matter, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 14.02.2025 and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected writ miscellaneous petitions are closed. 17.06.2025 (2/2) Index : Yes/No Speaking order /Non Speaking Order dm 4/6
