Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, representing the respondent/Police.

It is seen that the petitioner has lodged her complaint to the first respondent/Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chennai, and marked a copy to the Deputy Commissioner of Police. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to lodge fresh complaint before the second respondent/Inspector of Police, together with supporting materials and in the event of such complaint is being lodged by the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to enquire into the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
matter, and register a crime, if cognizable offence is made out, by following the dictum laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others reported in [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)].
