Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuing a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue patta in favour of my name in respect of Survey No.184/33 and 34 having an extent of 775 sq. feet situated at No.48/42, Mannadiamman Koil Street, Adambakkam Village, Chengalpet Taluk, Kanchipuram District on the basis of my application dated 10.02.2014 to the respondent. The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner's name in respect of Survey No.184/33 and 34 having an extent of 775 sq. feet situated at No.48/42, Mannadiamman Koil Street, Adambakkam Village, Chengalpet Taluk, Kanchipuram District on the basis of petitioner's application dated 10.02.2014 to the respondent.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that though he has given an application as early as on 10.02.2014 to the respondent for the issuance of patta, the respondent has not passed any order sofar.
3. Ms.A.Mathumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 10.02.2014 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a time frame.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 10.02.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
