The petitioner seeks direction upon the respondent/Police to register an FIR on his complaint, dated 27.02.2015, in C.S.R.No.225 of 2015.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, representing the respondent/Police.

A reading of the petitioner's complaint, it appears that the petitioner has invested his retirement money, (Rs.35,00,000/-, Rs.10,00,000/- in cash and Rs.15,00,000/- by way of cheques) in a real estate business with the opposite party and that the opposite party did not share the profits. Now, the opposite party appears to have given an undertaking before the respondent/Police that he would settle the matter with the petitioner. A copy of the said undertaking is also given to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, across the bar.

In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
