The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 427, 394, 307 of IPC, in Crime No.223 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution as per the defacto complainant/Ravikumar is that on 17.05.2023, while he was watching cell phone sitting near the public water tank along with his friend, the petitioner along with other accused who came in a two wheeler abused him in a filthy language and snatched away his friend's Poco cell phone and also attacked the defacto complainant. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is in no way connected with the alleged offence. He further submitted that due to previous enmity, a false complaint has been given against him and thereby, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that due to previous enmity, the petitioner along with other accused had assaulted the defacto complainant with knife and also threatened him with dire consequences. He further submitted that the petitioner has got five previous cases pending as against him. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner. 5.Heard the learned counsel and perused the entire materials available on record including the First Information Report.

6. Considering the nature of offence and the previous antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
