Crl.O.P.No.13176 of 2023 Cr.O.P.No.13176 of 2023 A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J., The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1) (a), 4(1-A) (ii) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.311 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 15.06.2023, there was no representation for the petitioner and hence, the case was ordered to be posted next week.

3. Even today (22.06.2023), there is no representation for the petitioner. Further is is submitted by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) that it is a case where the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 21 bottles of Rum and he has got two previous cases of similar nature.

4. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
