(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner had suffered an adverse order under the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act. He had filed a Statutory Revision and it is pending before the Government. The petitioner has come to this Court because he apprehends that his house may be demolished in the meanwhile. 2/5

3. If coercive action is taken in the meanwhile, the petitioner's statutory remedy will become infructuous. We therefore direct the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's revision within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. We are not going into to the merits of the matter. Till the petitioner's revision is disposed of, the petition mentioned house shall not be demolished.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
