When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has already been granted promotion. Therefore, he requests this Court to dismiss this writ petition as having become infructuous. However, he wants to challenge the order of promotion as only notional benefit has been conferred on the petitioner. Therefore, he seeks liberty to approach this Court, if the petitioner is so advised.
2. In view of the above submission of the learned counsel, this writ petition stands dismissed as having become infructuous with liberty as sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
