ORDER
This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "directing the respondents to pay 10 percent interest for the belated payment of terminal benefits such as Gratuity, Leave Salary, P.F. and Commutation of pension amount, and difference in leave salary, difference in Gratuity and difference in pension arrears with 10 percent interest as per 14th wage settlement dated 24.08.2022 and 15 days leave salary surrendered in November 2019 with 10 percent interest to the petitioner."
2. Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that he joined as a Junior Assistant Trainee in the first respondent Corporation and retired from service on 30.04.2020. Subsequently, the 14th Wage Settlement was entered into between the Management and the Trade Unions on 24.08.2022, pursuant to which the wages and pension were also revised with effect from 01.09.2019. Since the petitioner had retired on 30.04.2020, he is entitled to
the difference in leave salary and gratuity as per the 14th Wage Settlement. It is the case of the petitioner that the terminal benefits have been settled belatedly and 15 days leave salary surrendered in November 2019 was not paid to him. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representations which evoked no response so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed claiming interest for the belated payment of retirement benefits such as Gratuity Leave salary, Provident fund, Leave Salary and commutation of pension amounts and to pay the salary as stated supra.

In view of the limited request made by the petitioner with regard to interest on the belated settlement of retirement benefits such as Gratuity, Leave salary, Provident fund and commutation of pension amounts, this Court directs the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 6% p.a. for the belated payment of retirement benefits from the date of retirement to till the date of actual disbursal of the retirement benefits of the petitioner and to pay to pay the applicable differential amount of leave salary, gratuity to the petitioner, in accordance with the 14th Wage Settlement dated 24.08.2022, together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, and also to consider the issue in regard to disbursement of the 15 days leave surrender in November 2019 as stated supra, if there is no other impediment in
disbursing the same, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, taking into account the bank rate of interest on deposits.
