Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.11.2014 insofar as in the said representation, the petitioner had sought for transfer of patta in his name to his property situated at Polipakkam village, Kaveripakkam Union Panchayat, Arakonam Taluk, Vellore District comprised in Survey No.361B/2, 391/4, 391/7 to an extent of 3.87 acres.

ORDER
Heard Mr.S.Baskaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
2.The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.11.2014 insofar as in the said representation, the petitioner had sought for transfer of patta in his name to his property situated at Polipakkam village, Kaveripakkam Union Panchayat, Arakonam Taluk, Vellore District comprised in Survey No.361B/2, 391/4, 391/7 to an extent of 3.87 acres. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.According to the petitioner, the patta has been issued in favour of his vendor in Patta No.1495 and the petitioner having purchased the said property by a registered Sale Deed dated 25.04.2011 registered as Document No.1921/2011 on the file of the Sub Registrar Office, Sholingur. The petitioner has submitted a representation for grant of patta. In fact, the 3rd respondent issued a notice on 06.11.2013, calling upon the petitioner to appear for enquiry on 25.11.2013. Though, the petitioner is said to have appeared for the said enquiry, till date no further action has been taken.
4.In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the petitioner's representation dated 25.11.2014, there will be a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
