By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. According to the petitioner, his father Shanmugam, who was working as a Helper with the third respondent, died in harness on 21.09.1995. The petitioner applied for a job on Compassionate Ground on 09.07.1998. Despite submitting of the relevant papers, the respondents have not given any appointment on compassionate ground. Therefore, the petitioner sent representations dated 12.06.2014 and 12.10.2015. However, the respondents have not passed any orders. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.R.Ramesh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.M.E.Raniselvam, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondent No.1 as well as Mr.Fakkir Mohideen, learned counsel for the respondents No.2 & 3.

4. Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this court, in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the case, directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.06.2014 and 12.10.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
