Writ petition No.37409 of 2015 filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to admit the petitioner (Application No.115969) to B.Ed., Degree two years course
through Distance Education for the year 2015-2016 in accordance with the condition of Prospectus issued by the respondent University, based on the qualification of B.A., (English) acquired by the petitioner, within a time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.
Writ petition No.37410 of 2015 filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to admit the petitioner (Application No.116249) to B.Ed., Degree two years course through Distance Education for the year 2015-2016 in accordance with the condition of Prospectus issued by the respondent University, based on the qualification of B.A., (English) acquired by the petitioner, within a time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

2. When these matters were taken up for admission as early as on 24.11.2015 and thereafter, adjourning the same on several occasions, it appears that the petitioners were not protected with any interim order. Now, we are in the academic year 20172018. Therefore, nothing survives in these writ petitions to be adjudicated upon, since the very prayer sought for in these writ petitions is in respect of the academic year 2015-2016. Thus, without expressing any view on the merits of the contention raised by the petitioners, these writ petitions are dismissed as
infructuous. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
